How did the Jews die ?
After that in 1934 the Nazis and Hitler were in control of everyone of
Germany. (Jewish virtual library) Hitler had a campaign against the Jews. They
portrayed the Jews as evil and cowardly and Germans were hardworking, courage,
and honest. (Jewish virtual library) They destroyed Jewish and businesses. Many
Jews were beaten and killed, 30,000 Jews were arrested and sent to
concentration camps. Many camps were made like, the forced labor camps, transit
camps, and death camps. Special death camps were set up to do nothing but kill
Jewish people and other undesirables such as the Gypsies. (Jane Shuter)
The camps that Jewish people were sent to were parts of the Nazis, there
was mass murder of the Jews in there. (Florida center) One of the concentration
camps opened in March 1933(Florida center) The Nazis largest concentration camp
facility was located nearby the provincial polish town of Oswiecim in Galicia
and was made on April 27, 1940 (Gerald Posner and John Ware) The concentration
camps were separated from the road by some barbed wire fences. Most of the time
the Nazis killed the Jews by getting them naked and taking them to gas
chambers. 200-250 people were sent in each chamber, it was dark in there except
for a small light in the ceiling and the spy hole in a door. (Gutman Israel)
The process of gassing was to first pump hot air from the ceiling and then pour
crystals of cyclone on people, and with the hot wet air the crystals evaporated
and from two to ten minutes everybody would die in the gas chamber. (Gutman
Israel)
Concentration Camps
Adolf
Hitler was the man that let the order for all the Jewish people to go to the
concentration camps. This camp in the point of view of the Jewish people was a
simple camp where they had to stay for following their religion. It ended up being a place were you lived or you died. There are stories of people that live in
those camps or lived what happen before they were taken to the camps. The
greatest example of these stories is the book of “Anne Frank the Diary of a
young girl”. It feels disgusted to know that the hate of one person for a race
can end up being the “death of approximately six million Jew’s by Nazi” ("united
states holocaust memorial museum" 1). These Jew’s that are
people just like us that suffered for their religion which made them even stronger
than what I thought. These camps were like a jail were people died for no
logical reason. I believe the death of this people is abhorrent. Still, the
death of this people cannot be replaced so it makes someone reflect on their
own life. “Hitler was a coward” (teacher) for not facing what he did, but
instead killed himself and his family suffered the same feelings almost when
the War World II ended. Hitler was born in April 20, 1889 and died in April
30, 1945("time line" 1). This date makes a person think
about what has happened in his life throughout these years. Has all the years
been to destroy the Jewish ?
Ghettos
During the Holocaust, ghettos were a central step in the Nazi process of control, dehumanization, and mass murder of the Jews. 400,000 children were put in 1.3 square miles crowded and lived in the streets without any adult taking care of them.(Corni, Gustavo. Hitler's Ghettos: Voices from a Beleaguered Society 1939-1944. London: Arnold, 2002) There were at least 1,000 ghettos established to let Jews survive but in a harsh condition utterly as bad as death camps like Auschwitz.
